Naturopath and Nutritionist
Hi, I’m Caitlin – the Unmasked Naturopath.
I created Unmasked Naturopath after my own journey as an Autistic and ADHD adult. Balancing motherhood—raising a neurodivergent child with a physical disability—and managing my own health challenges inspired me to study Naturopathy and Nutrition. I’ve transformed my health through nutrition, lifestyle changes, and herbal medicine, and I’ve seen the same healing power in my neurodivergent clients.
Now, I help neurodivergent women, especially mothers, struggling with hormone imbalances, burnout, gut issues, and mood disruptions. Whether you’re navigating postpartum recovery, PMDD, or the mental load of motherhood, I offer holistic, neuro-affirming support tailored to your unique needs. My goal is to help you understand your body, balance your hormones, and feel confident in your health—minus the overwhelm.
Hi, I’m Caitlin – the Unmasked Naturopath.
I’m an Autistic ADHDer, a mum, and a naturopath who’s been through the thick of it—chronic health struggles, neurodivergent parenting, and hormonal mayhem.
My own healing journey led me to study Naturopathy and Nutrition. Now, I help neurodivergent women (especially mums) navigate hormone imbalances, burnout, gut issues, and mood swings—with holistic, neuro-affirming care.
If you’re facing PMDD, postpartum, or just trying to stay afloat in motherhood, I’m help you understand your body, balance your hormones, and feel confident in your health—minus the overwhelm.
Hormonal imbalances, especially during pregnancy, postpartum, and perimenopause, can greatly affect neurodivergent women. Conditions like PMDD (Premenstrual Dysphoric Disorder) can cause extreme mood swings, irritability, and physical symptoms. Through holistic strategies, including dietary support, herbal medicine, and neuro-affirming approaches, I help women regain hormonal balance and emotional stability.
The postpartum period can be especially challenging for neurodivergent women, with fluctuating hormones, overwhelming emotions, and physical changes. I support women through this transition, addressing nutrient deficiencies, gut health, and hormonal balance to ease recovery and help them thrive mentally and physically.
Neuroinflammation can affect brain function, mood, and overall well-being, particularly in neurodivergent women. I work with clients to manage neuroinflammation through nutrition, supplements, and lifestyle changes, boosting cognitive function, emotional regulation, and mental clarity.
ADHD can impact time management, focus, and decision-making, especially when compounded by hormonal fluctuations. I provide tailored approaches to manage ADHD symptoms, improve executive functioning, and develop strategies that support brain health, energy levels, and productivity.
The gut-brain connection plays a powerful role in neurodivergent health. Many women experience IBS, bloating, food sensitivities, and digestive discomfort—issues that can amplify mood challenges, brain fog, and overwhelm. I help you support your gut through personalised nutrition, targeted supplements, and sustainable lifestyle changes. When needed, I also offer comprehensive microbiome testing to get a clearer picture of your gut health, guiding us toward more precise, effective treatment strategies that help you feel more balanced, energised, and resilient.
Emotional regulation can be particularly difficult for neurodivergent women, especially during periods of hormonal fluctuation. I help women develop emotional resilience through mindfulness practices, stress reduction techniques, and strategies for managing overwhelm, allowing them to regain control over their emotions and feel grounded.
Chronic fatigue is a common issue for neurodivergent women, often worsened by hormonal shifts, stress, and sleep disturbances. I help clients restore their energy through targeted nutrition, lifestyle adjustments, and stress management strategies that address the root causes of fatigue, leaving them feeling more energized and balanced.
MCAS and histamine intolerance are common yet often overlooked issues for neurodivergent women. Symptoms can include skin rashes, headaches, digestive issues, and fatigue, often triggered by certain foods or environmental factors. I work with clients to identify triggers, support mast cell health, and balance histamine levels through diet, supplementation, and lifestyle changes.
Neurodivergent women often experience hypermobility, hEDS, and POTS, which impact joint stability, blood circulation, and autonomic function. These conditions can lead to chronic pain, dizziness, fatigue, and joint instability.
I help women manage these symptoms by focusing on supporting connective tissue health, improving circulation, and gentle movement strategies tailored to their needs. Through nutrition, herbal remedies, and adapted exercise plans, I guide you to enhance strength and stability while avoiding overstrain, empowering you to live more comfortably in your body.
Whether you’re planning for a future pregnancy, navigating your cycle’s return postpartum, or facing irregular or absent periods, I offer support to balance hormones and optimise fertility.
We’ll work together to understand your cycle, improve reproductive health, and support your body’s natural rhythms using personalised nutrition, herbal remedies, and neuro-affirming care that respects your unique needs.
Neurodivergent women often experience heightened anxiety, depression, and mood disorders, especially during hormonal shifts. I address mental health holistically by supporting neurotransmitter balance, offering anxiety-reducing strategies, and fostering a greater sense of emotional and mental clarity.
Neurodivergent women are also at higher risk of eating disorders (EDs), including anorexia, bulimia, and binge eating disorder, as well as disordered eating patterns. The intersection of sensory sensitivities, emotional dysregulation, and societal pressures can make eating and body image especially challenging. Many women struggle with restrictive eating, food anxiety, or extreme dieting cycles, which often worsen with fluctuating hormones or stress.
Through a compassionate, body-positive approach, I support clients in rebuilding a healthier relationship with food, focusing on nourishment, mindful eating, and emotional regulation strategies. We work together to create a balanced, sustainable approach to nutrition that supports both physical health and mental well-being.
